Symbian : Nokia C5 Hacking Tutorial

If C5 is your first Symbian 3rd Edition smartphone you may not be aware of the signing process for installing applications.The earlier version of Symbian i.e S60 2nd Edition was prone to virus attacks so Nokia introduced a signing process as security measure, but it gets cumbersome as you have to sign every unsigned application in order to install it, otherwise you’ll get this error “Certificate Error Contact the application supplier”.To get rid of this process you need to hack you phone.Hacking doesn’t harm at all but improves the functionality of your smartphone.There  are 2 great and useful applications for hacking S60v3 phones namely Helloox2 and Drakkarious,but unfortunately C5 is not supported yet. As soon as C5 will be supported by Helloox2 I’ll update it here.
But there is an alternate way out for hacking C5 which is little bit lengthy but easy to follow.
1. First you have to download Navifirm PC application to download Nokia C5 firmware files. Run the application and choose “Nokia C5 (RM-645)” under “Products” column as shown in the screenshot above.
Then select “31.22″ under second column “Releases”. In the next step you have to choose your proper C5 version based on Country/Carrier and Color. For example, C5 T-Mobile UK Warm Grey. In the last column it will show you the firmware files for your specific version. Select all and download the files somewhere in your PC.2.  Now Download and install latest version of Phoenix in your PC. After installation you need to transfer the firmware files in this folder  C:/Program Files/Nokia/Phoenix/Products/RM-645.3. Now follow this video for further steps. It is for Nokia N97 but you can follow the same for Nokia C5. You’ll need Nokia C5 modded firmware which can be downloaded from here.
